Leading for Good Workshop Series - Building the foundations for sustainable impact.

Practical, cost-effective workshops designed to help for-purpose teams lead with confidence and alignment and to prevent burnout.

Leaders in the for-purpose sector are often there because they want to do good. Despite that drive, and perhaps partly because of it, so many burnout.

Burnout is a serious challenge for purpose-driven leaders and organisations and for our society.

It impacts health, team engagement and bottom line and it jeopardises the meaningful impact that drives the entire for-purpose sector.

How can organisations avoid burnout, and lift capability, alignment and confidence when resources are thin, workloads are high and there is limited time for development?

To improve leadership and management practice we need to:

  • build shared language and strengthen culture

  • ensure strong leadership foundations

  • increase access to development opportunities across teams and organisations.

The Leading for Good workshop series builds the foundational capabilities the for-purpose sector needs.

These workshop topics have been carefully crafted for the for-purpose sector. They can be delivered in-person or online and as a series or as standalone workshops. They can be tailored to your organisation’s specific needs.

The Workshop Modules

1. Values and Strengths in Action

Understand what really motivates and supports us to do well. Drawing on my experiences working in human services, this interactive session helps leaders and teams identify their individual and collective strengths to drive engagement and authentic leadership.

  • Outcome: Improved self-awareness and a team that knows how to leverage its best assets.

2. Mission-Driven Accountability

In for-purpose work, "accountability" can sometimes feel at odds with "empathy." This workshop bridges that gap, teaching leaders how to hold high standards while staying true to the mission.

  • Outcome: Clearer expectations and a culture of mission-driven accountability.

3. Communication and Nuance in Complex Environments

Leading in a regulated or diverse stakeholder environments requires a high level of communication and awareness. We explore how to communicate clearly when the stakes are high and the context is shifting.

  • Outcome: Reduced misunderstandings and stronger stakeholder relationships.

4. Having Difficult Conversations with Clarity and Care

Avoiding tough conversations is a primary cause of team friction and increases organisational risk. We provide a practical framework for addressing performance, behavior, or conflict with empathy and directness.

  • Outcome: A safer, more transparent workplace culture and better risk management.
